HelaFlanko now recognized as a tax-deductible charity in Austria

We are excited to share an important milestone in the journey of HelaFlanko – Hilfe für Ukraine.

As of September 15, 2025, our organisation has officially been recognized in Austria as a tax-deductible charity. This recognition was granted by the Austrian Ministry of Finance following our application under §4a (4) of the Austrian Income Tax Act (EStG 1988).

This means:

• Donations made to HelaFlanko are now tax-deductible in Austria.

• Supporters can contribute with the reassurance that their generosity not only helps people in Ukraine but also provides a financial benefit under Austrian tax law.

• Our organization has been confirmed to meet the strict legal and organizational requirements for transparency, accountability, and public benefit.

Important to donors

Starting immediately, donations to HelaFlanko are tax-deductible. For the 2025 tax year, this applies to all contributions made between September 16 and December 31, 2025.

For the Austrian tax authorities (Finanzamt) to automatically recognize your donation, we need the following information from you:

• First name and last name

• Date of birth

• Your consent to securely transmit this data to the Austrian tax office

Without this information, your donation cannot be automatically included in your tax deduction.
